Las autoridades y docentes de Sibaté recibieron el proyecto “Centro de excelencia para la educación Rural – CeeR -”, que beneficiará a más de 10.300 directivos, docentes, estudiantes y familias rurales de esta población, cuyo nodo es la Institución Departamental Romeral, a la cual se vincularán las demás instituciones educativas oficiales del municipio.
Nelly Yolanda Russi Quiroga, secretaria departamental de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación manifestó en el evento de socialización realizado a los rectores y docentes de Sibaté: “A través de esta iniciativa innovadora, Cundinamarca seguirá avanzando en la apropiación de ciencia y tecnología en favor de niños, jóvenes y familias campesinas, mejorando sus prácticas de aprendizaje, su calidad de vida incrementando, además, su productividad e incentivando la protección del medio ambiente”.
Este proyecto se formuló desde noviembre de 2020 en alianza con la Gobernación de Cundinamarca, la alcaldía de Sibaté y el Grupo Tknova, para lograr la aprobación de su alcance científico técnico y del presupuesto con aportes de $2.645.464.018 proveniente del Sistema de Regalías; $1.487.000.000 de la alcaldía de Sibaté y $160.000.000 del Grupo Tknova, ConsulteG, Fundación C-STAR, con el propósito de dejar resultados efectivos, en beneficio de la comunidad rural de Sibaté, de acuerdo el propósito del Gobierno Departamental de fortalecer del campo cundinamarqués.
Por su parte, Javier Castro, rector de la institución educativa del Romeral expresó su satisfacción, asegurando que “recibimos este proyecto con alegría y compromiso de parte de los docentes y el personal de nuestra institución, porque sin lugar a dudas esta iniciativa va a beneficiar a la comunidad educativa (docentes y estudiantes) y a los pobladores de este sector rural (productores y familias, y este propósito no se habría logrado sin la participación de la secretaría de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Cundinamarca”.
En ese sentido, el Centro de excelencia educativa Rural CeeR, se convierte en una alternativa, que beneficiará a más de 10 mil personas del sector rural de Sibaté, lo que corresponde al 30 % de los habitantes de este municipio.
En la presentación de la iniciativa participaron el Subsecretario de Educación de Cundinamarca, José María Leyton; el asesor de la secretaría de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Cundinamarca, Luis Manuel González; el alcalde de Sibaté, Edson Montoya; el Director de Proyectos del Grupo Tknova, Eduardo Cubillos; la secretaria de Desarrollo Social de Sibaté, Yurany Angélica Acuña y 200 docentes de instituciones educativas de esta localidad.
