En desarrollo de un Consejo Extraordinario de Gestión del Riesgo, el gobernador Nicolás García, declaró la «Urgencia Manifiesta», en el Departamento para apropiar y gestionar los recursos necesarios que permitan atender de manera inmediata las afectaciones por causa de las lluvias que han impactado 52 municipios, dejando 6 fallecidos y miles de personas y familias con afectaciones a sus viviendas, cultivos, además de infraestructura educativa y en más de 200 vías que impactan el bienestar, la economía, la salud y la movilidad de todos.
«Con esta declaratoria estaremos en capacidad de destinar los recursos necesarios y atender de manera rápida y directa estas emergencias causadas por lluvias, deslizamientos y vendavales; ya estamos haciendo presencia en todos los municipios afectados con la maquinaria del ICCU y hemos avanzado con la entrega de ayudas humanitarias; realizaremos un censo para determinar los puentes colgantes que debemos hacerles mantenimiento; agradecemos a la CAR su apoyo con la destinación también de maquinaria y equipos, avanzaremos en el contrato de extensión de emergencias y el alquiler y disposición de la maquinaria que sea necesaria», declaró el gobernador Nicolás García.
En este Consejo de Gestión del Riesgo participaron las autoridades y organismos de atención y socorro, acciones conjuntas que garantizarán atención a toda la comunidad. El gobernador destacó este jueves se realizará una reunión con los 116 alcaldes para acordar medidas necesarias que se deban tomar en el marco de esta Urgencia Manifiesta.
