“En un futuro, a través del río, la gente podrá transportarse desde Chía o Cajicá hasta Bogotá o Soacha, esta será una alternativa de movilidad y también podrá ser disfrutado con fines turísticos”, manifestó el funcionario.
Para contribuir al saneamiento del río, el director subrayó que actualmente la entidad adelanta las obras de optimización de las plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales de los municipios de Sopó, Zipaquirá y Cajicá; así como la ejecución de diseños para la optimización de las plantas de Chocontá, Suesca y Sesquilé.
“En los municipios que no cuentan con PTAR, actualmente adelantamos obras en Ricaurte y Cota, la ejecución de diseños de ingeniería de detalle para la construcción de la PTAR de Villapinzón y estamos en etapa contractual para la ejecución de obra de la PTAR de Tausa”, puntualizó el director de la CAR.
De acuerdo con datos de la CAR, aproximadamente 14 mil personas han navegado el río desde el 12 de mayo de 2022 cuando se habilitó esta actividad para toda la comunidad.
