Fiscale del Grupo Especial para la Lucha contra el Maltrato Animal (Gelma) presentó ante un juez de control de garantías a un hombre señalado de causarles graves afectaciones a dos perros, en hechos ocurridos en Bogotá.
En una inspección realizada a un inmueble de la localidad de Bosa, en el suroccidente de Bogotá, funcionarios del Instituto Distrital de Protección y Bienestar Animal (Idpyba) constataron el precario estado en el que permanecían dos caninos.
Durante la visita, los especialistas identificaron que los dos perros, de nombre ‘Ilona’ y ‘Zeus’, presentaban graves signos de desnutrición y deshidratación, mucosas pálidas, lesiones en la piel, entre otras afectaciones de salud. Adicionalmente, no tenían una zona de descanso adecuada, eran expuestos a condiciones climáticas adversas y carecían de comederos y bebederos. Debido a las deficientes condiciones, ‘Zeus’ murió.
Por la posible omisión en el deber de cuidado y atención, la Fiscalía imputó al tenedor de los perros, identificado como Brayan Alfonso Saavedra Rodríguez, el delito de maltrato animal.
