En la tarde del jueves 25 de mayo, se produjo un lamentable incidente en #Sáchica #Boyacá. Un individuo robó un celular de la cabina de un vehículo de carga, y como consecuencia, un grupo de personas lo interceptó y le propinó una golpiza, lo cual habría resultado en su fallecimiento. El momento de la agresión quedó registrado en un video.
La coronel María Margarita Mantilla, comandante de la Policía de Boyacá, informó que el hombre falleció el mismo jueves 25 de mayo luego de ser golpeado por la comunidad de Sáchica, tras cometer el robo. El individuo había sido captado por una cámara de seguridad, y la víctima difundió el video en redes sociales. «Después de dos horas, los ciudadanos lo identificaron y lo agredieron», puntualizó la comandante.
La Policía intervino para separar al sujeto de las personas que lo estaban agrediendo y lo trasladaron a un centro médico en el municipio de Villa de Leyva. Sin embargo, lamentablemente, falleció debido a la gravedad de las heridas, según expresó la comandante.
La coronel Mantilla afirmó que las personas involucradas en el incidente han sido identificadas, gracias a los videos grabados por la comunidad, y agregó que serán procesadas judicialmente por el delito de homicidio. «El fallecido tenía antecedentes por porte, tráfico y fabricación de estupefacientes y cohecho. Invitamos a la comunidad a no tomar la justicia por su cuenta, a contar con nosotros como su policía, para eso estamos», manifestó la comandante.
